The Huipil from Yucatan / by Frankie Concha

The Huipil is a traditional garment worn by women from central Mexico. Mine came from Merida Yucatan the motherland of our family. The Smart Doll versions were made by some Aunts that finally had the chance to meet Mirai. Like Danny has said Mirai also revolvs around my life all this happened because of her, she is what inspired them to make these garments.

The embroidery work was all hand sewn, there are much more complex designs made but those are mainly ceremonial ones with designs woven into the fabric, embroidery, ribbons, lace, and more. Design also depends on what area its being made. Then there are also different types of lengths, from short casual blouses to a dress long enough to reach the floor.

A little bonus gift! It's a souvenir key chain that was in perfect scale for Mirai. ^^ Its always fun hunting for goods for your dolls, it gets those ideas going.
